LAST WAVE is an alternative music festival that could rock the Grand Palais in Paris, France. As a last hoorah to celebrate the end of summer, it would be one last show, one last time to get together with friends, one last wave of fun before going back to school and work.
Sharp and thin, the white title in Brandon Grotesque contrasts sharply while balancing with the rich, vibrant background. Inspired by the beauty of nature, the concept design’s two inverted gradients symbolize a single rising, rolling crest encircling the last sunset of summer. The warmth of the fading sunlight radiates through a rich vermillion red, ebbing into the cool ultramarine blue of the deep waters.
This bold yet elegant color scheme is implemented throughout the event’s visual communication including posters, a program booklet, tickets, invitations, and a special goodie for all concert-goers: a bottle of suntan lotion to prolong the feeling of summer just a little longer.
